About Darla
Hello and Welcome! My name is Darla Trent and I am a nationally certified counselor (NCC-1532806) and licensed professional counselor in Idaho (LPC-8365).
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho and my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. I have an emphasis in Trauma, Grief, and Crisis as well as Play Therapy. I have completed Level 1_Basic, Level 2_ Addictions and Eating Disorders, Level 2_ Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO), and Level 3 Advanced training through the IFS-Institute. I am an IFS Certified Therapist.
I have been married to my best friend, my husband for over 35 years, and together, we have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren and going on adventures to faraway, and not so faraway places. I often bring home small tokens from my adventures and incorporate them into my everyday life through journaling, sand play, art, crafts, and other avenues. In my spare time, I like to read self-help books, create my own original designs, and brainstorm my next new adventure.
